GRIND LINE Fundamental Hockey School
The 2011 GRIND LINE Hockey School concluded and was a great success! Kris Draper, Kirk Maltby and Darren McCarty formerly of the Detroit Red Wings and the Professional Staff from CORE Sports Fitness along with their special guest delivered a camp to be remembered!
This accelerated Hockey school was for the serious skater of all levels who is looking to develop in to a successful athlete. There were 140 skaters; ages 6 to 13 training each day in the CORE fitness center and on the ice with former Red Wings, the team from PowerTech Hockey Group, Brian Smolinski a 16 year veteran in the NHL and a couple of HoneyBaked Major players to assist.
After their long workout, the Grind Line skaters were greeted by Detroit Red Wings who stopped in to offer some encouraging words and sign some autographs. Dan Cleary, Nicklas Lidstrom, Patrick Eaves, Tomas Holmstrom and Jakub Kindle all stopped in throughout the 4 day camp.
